Serie Sunset
Akira Satō | 1960 Formed by images of intimate and poetic moments, with soft light and subtle shadows. With this series he seeks to deconstruct mid-20th century Japanese fashion photography. This set of female portraits is one of his most recognized works.
Japan, 1930-2002
Akira Sato (Japan, 1930-2002) was a Japanese photographer known for his female portraits and urban scenes, taken mainly in Japan and Europe. In 1957 he joined the VIVO collective and explored beauty in the everyday with a style influenced by fashion photography and the humanist tradition, incorporating elements of surrealism.
